From a Simulator to Brands Hatch: Meet Freddy
Freddy Carter is a 15-year-old racing driver from Haywards Heath, England, and he is absolutely serious about reaching the top of motorsport.
His journey began in sim racing, developing the racecraft, situational awareness and mental discipline that serious competitors spend years trying to master. That foundation led him to the SIM Motorsports Race School at Brands Hatch, where he completed his professional training gaining media training, fitness and nutrition instruction and preparation for the ARDS test along the way.
Freddy is now competing in karting through the TeamSport Academy and building toward his first circuit racing campaign in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship. Beyond that, the mid-term ambitions are the JCW Mini Challenge and British Touring Cars, with the ultimate goal of reaching the GT World Challenge.
In the meantime, Freddy has also founded Apex Velocity Racing a team built to create a structured pathway from sim racing into real-world motorsport and to develop the next generation of junior talent alongside his own career.

Freddy completed his graduation from the SIM Motorsports Race School at one of Britain's most iconic circuits. The programme covered professional media training, fitness and nutrition, ARDS test preparation and on-track development a rigorous foundation that separates serious prospects from casual competitors.
